Two exciting opportunities have arisen for experienced policy professionals to join the Strategy, Policy and Insight team within the Council’s Policy and Partnership Service to support several key projects. The service leads all corporate planning and performance related activities across the Council, ensuring responsive and flexible policy support is provided, to the Chief Executive and Corporate Management Team, service management teams and elected members.
We are currently looking for two senior policy officers to join the policy team. With a strong interest and understanding in population / migration related policy, the postholder will provide strategic support to senior managers and elected members and work with wider community planning partners to support our local strategic response.
The second postholder will play a key role in progressing work related to our Trauma Informed and Responsive Renfrewshire programme and supporting the development of new work in relation to customer engagement and tackling stigma. Whilst a knowledge and interest in the principles of trauma-informed practice is desirable, the postholder will have a focus on policy rather than practice. The postholder will provide strategic support to senior managers across the organisation on these initiatives as well as the broader strategic priorities of the Council.
Both roles will suit an organised individual with effective and well-developed policy development and influencing skills.
