Floating Support Case Worker (Female Only)
Location: Caerphilly - Ty Oborne/Ty Short
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time
The Vacancy
Caerphilly supported housing consists of three homes, Ty Oborne, Ty Short, and Jubilee House, each offering a different level of support alongside Star flats, which provides targeted support delivered by a floating support team. This team works with individuals who are on the waiting list for one of the homes or moving on to their own accommodation. We assist individuals who experience challenges with their mental health to achieve their goals and develop the skills and confidence needed to transition to their own tenancies. We provide social, emotional, and practical support to individuals facing challenges with their mental health and emotional wellbeing that may impact their ability to maintain a stable tenancy.
Driving licence with access to own vehicle is essential for the performance of this role.
Please note, due to the nature of the service, it is an occupational requirement that the post holder is female, and the post is therefore exempt from the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 in terms of Schedule 9, Part 1, and Paragraph 1 of the Act.
We work with individuals experiencing challenges with their mental health and with communities aiming to create a greater sense of wellbeing in their living spaces. Through our projects, we support thousands of people each year.
We believe that long-lasting wellbeing comes from understanding how lives can be shaped by traumatic experiences, identifying people’s strengths, and focusing on healing. We recognize that we can’t ‘fix’ people, but we can walk alongside them and provide assistance on their journey.
We strive to make Platfform a great place to work, living our values and mission in everything we do.

"My favourite thing about working at Platfform is the organisation culture and how staff are treated. I’ve worked with many organisations, and it is the first time I work in an environment where everyone cares for each other and their unique needs. I feel supported and am allowed to be creative in my work."
"My favourite thing about working for Platfform is being part of a family who cares passionately to change the world as I do. Everyone is so supportive and welcoming, which makes me proud to bring my true authentic self to work every day. Life is too short to do a job in which you don’t make a difference, and at Platfform, you make a difference every single day!"
