Perkbox Vivup are a specialist provider of Employee Assistance Provision (EAP). With clients across the UK within the Public and Private sectors, we are a growing provider of EAP. We offer clients psychological support via our EAP, a short-term model moving through to secondary-tier mental health and a wide range of training and additional clinical services. You can expect clients with a wide range of presenting issues both work and home related. Our EAP team provide a 24/7 confidential support service alongside access to telephone, virtual and face-to-face counselling and support.
Utilising technology to support a team environment, but enabling home-based working, you will help deliver structured counselling to employees of commissioning organisations across public and private sectors. With robust induction and training, 121 clinical supervision, case management, peer supervision and a monthly CPD programme, you will be supported to grow as a practitioner and individual.
About the role
The post holder(s) will be required to provide low-intensity psychological support options for clients entering the service, including but not limited to CAB style advice and information, local and national support agencies, and a wide range of internal psychological support pathways. Perkbox Vivup will support the post holder to gain a range of skills and experience in the delivery of psychological support, advice, and information to clients of the service. The post holder will undertake initial risk assessments using recognised and validated assessment methodology. The post holder will work a blended role with split time for providing in-the-moment support calls and structured sessions. Using a stepped care approach, the post holder will triage clients into internal and external services in line with Perkbox Vivup Clinical assessment and management processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.
* Assess and support people with common mental health issues in the self-management of their recovery and triage to internal and external psychological support.
* Undertake client-centred interviews which identify areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery and makes an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
* Provide access daily to in the moment support for clients wishing to speak with a low intensity practitioner. This will involve the use of counselling skills, psychoeducation, and assessment.
* Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to The Employee Resilience Company referral protocols.
* Provide a range of information and support for clients entering the service. This may include self-help CBT and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be face to face, telephone or via other media channels.
* Provide supporting information to managers or other key personnel within customer organisations where required.
* Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week to minimise waiting times and ensure service delivery remains accessible and convenient.
* Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment, where appropriate.
* Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service using CORE-Net as a clinical management tool.
* Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols and use these records and clinical outcome data in clinical decision making and onward triage internally and externally.
* Work closely with other members of the team, ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach to psychological support.
* Assess and integrate issues surrounding work and employment into the overall therapy process.
* Always operate from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises and respects diversity.
* Occasional on-call work (max 3 occasions/year)
What We’re Looking For
* Diploma (minimum Level 4) in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy.
* Registered/Accredited Membership with BACP or similar (this is essential to be eligible for the role)
* Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
* Enhanced DBS (we can process this on your behalf if you do not have this)
Desirable
* Experience of working within the mental health / EAP field.
* Experience of providing psychological assessments using validated assessment tools.
Interview Process
Our interview process involves 2 main stages:
* Short call with a member of the Talent team
* An interview with colleagues from the Clinical team (1 hour)
If successful after these stages, we will discuss and agree your shift pattern and contract.
We will provide you with all the IT and workstation equipment needed, and check in with you prior to your start date to ensure you have everything you need. You will receive a full 4 week induction, online and with others, which starts with an introduction from the Directors, Service Managers, HR & line managers and meeting some of your new colleagues.
We will then support you with “on the job” training to help you practice the skills you will need to perform the role. We have a team of seniors there to support you every step of the way.
