Group Accountant - Property
Restaurant Group
£55,000 - £60,000 + up to 20% bonus and great benefits
Central London offices
Hybrid working - 3 days office / 2 days wfh pw
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full responsibility for overseeing all fixed costs within the business, including preparing commentary and insights for the senior finance team.
* Manage and own the budgeting and forecasting processes for fixed costs, ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives.
* Ensure accurate accounting of fixed costs and monitor performance against budgets. Provide timely analysis and updates to management.
* Maintain the integrity of financial data by preparing and reviewing control account reconciliations for all fixed cost-related balance sheet accounts during each reporting period.
* Act as the key contact for external landlords, managing agents, suppliers, and other third parties to manage relationships and ensure smooth communication regarding fixed costs.
* Provide crucial support to members of the management and finance teams, assisting them in understanding and managing fixed costs effectively.
* Business Partnering with Property Team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on property-related fixed costs, including lease agreements and turnover rent requirements.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive master schedule of all group leases and associated property costs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is always available.
* Assist with the financial aspects of property acquisitions, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration into the financial reporting system.
* Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all invoices related to fixed costs.
About you:
* Fully qualified - ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
* Either from an audit practice background or industry (ideally consumer).
* Demonstrates the ability to work independently when needed while also excelling in a team environment.
* A self-motivated individual who takes initiative and is eager to contribute proactively to the success of the team.
* Strong communication skills, able to effectively engage with the internal property team, external suppliers, and senior management to ensure smooth collaboration.
* Possesses advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
* Highly attentive to details, capable of managing large datasets with precision and accuracy.
* Strong analytical skills, with the confidence to interpret data and provide insights.
