The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an innovative and enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Designer who will lead a small group of Designers to deliver required technical outputs to meet business needs. As the Mechanical Designer, you'll assist with providing front-end design and engineering capability across various nuclear projects. Being part of the team offers a unique opportunity to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety, and delivery solutions in one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK, if not the world. Our client is looking for people who are passionate about developing themselves and meeting new challenges.
Estimated Duration: 12 months
Location: Warrington (hybrid)
This role has been deemed inside of IR35.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the design team and site-based team.
2. Deliver mechanical work scope, production and checking, reporting to a Principal Engineer.
3. Produce detail drawings using Inventor / AutoCAD software (including familiarity with Inventor Vault), including GA's, manufacturing details, and layout drawings.
4. Modify and update existing drawings and diagrams as the design matures during testing and manufacture.
Minimum Requirements
1. Experience of working within a highly regulated industry.
2. Experience using Inventor / AutoCAD.
3. Experience of 'Design for Assembly' within a regulated industry.
4. Experience in machining and fabrication manufacturing processes.
