Job Overview: Working alongside our client, a successful injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled injection moulding setter to join their team. Remit: Candidates MUST HAVE several years experience in setting, conditioning, maintenance and process optimization of injection moulding machines. This position will suit a skilled injection moulding setter with experience working with a wide range of materials. Role: As Injection Moulding Setter you will perform tool changes to conform with safe working practices and procedures. Assist the shift with operating the injection moulding machines, ancillary equipment and automated assembly machines. Modify processes where necessary to optimise production rates and quality standards. Ensure all machinery is safe, maintaining a safe, clean, healthy environment for yourself and others. Liaise with other members of staff including setters, supervisor, team leader, planning department, toolroom and maintenance team with regard to tool changes, settings, operating procedures and general running requirements. Troubleshoot throughout the moulding process to ensure maximum machine utilisation, production and quality are achieved whilst providing feedback of root cause analysis. Analyse moulding defects and process parameter adjustments within validated limits to achieve optimum quality results. To deputise for the Supervisor when required. Report any major quality issues to the shift supervisor Identification of tooling conditions and repairs required Quality checks at each stage of the moulding process and approving first offs Experience Requirements: The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years experience as an injection moulding setter performing tool changes, setting machines and robots Have good experience of setting and troubleshooting on Krauss, Battenfeld, Borche moulding machines (desirable) Have knowledge and experience with Wittmann and Sepro robots Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to set targets A basic understanding of maintenance issues, such as cleaning out machinery in order to set accurately Experience of ancillaries, such as material feed systems, mould heaters and chiller systems.
