The Department: You will be part of our Office Services team at HW Fisher, reporting to our Office Manager. The Role: We require an Office Assistant to work in our London office. The successful candidate should be able to work 8am - 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, with half an hour for lunch (30 hours week). This is an office-based role and the successful candidate must be able and comfortable to work in the office 5 days a week. Duties & Responsibilities: The duties of this role are varied in nature and include: Assisting with processing the post, ensuring that this runs smoothly and efficiently, opening all post upon receipt and scanning onto the Document Management System (DMS), together with assisting in delivering all post across the office Collection of the post, franking mail and leaving for collection by Royal Mail Assisting with filing projects throughout the organisation Assisting with archiving projects and the destruction of historic files Photocopying, binding, and laminating documentation, including returning any photocopying, binding, or laminating to the relevant party Having responsibility for keeping the binding area well stocked and tidy Covering the roles of other Office Services team members, ensuring that all duties are effectively and efficiently covered Acting as cover for reception when necessary Other ad hoc duties in line with the role including keeping stationery well stocked Full training will be given to the successful candidate in regard to these duties. The Candidate: The successful candidate will be educated to a good standard with minimum Grades A - C / 4 - 9 at GCSE English and Maths. A-levels would be an advantage, but not essential. The successful candidate must be a strong team player and be able to demonstrate examples of this. Our Office Services team provides a key function within the organisation and therefore good communication skills and a strong, positive work ethic are essential. It would be an advantage for the successful candidate to have some skills within Microsoft Excel, though this is not essential. There may be opportunities to develop in the organisation for the right candidate.
