Job Description Command & Control Support Engineer: Supporting products for the Emergency Services nationwide. An Engineer who can technically contribute to the full range of skills involved in second line support to critical Police systems. You must have a good understanding of application coding and system architectures. Demonstrate good customer service skills and work as an individual or part of a pressured support team. The individual will be required to work within a dedicated support team to handle both reactive work caused by problems and the proactive work required to enhance the businesses ability to achieve SLA’s within cost delimiters. The importance of the command and control systems means any planned activities and upgrades are normally implemented outside of normal hours as the systems are operational 24 hours a day. Also a required for out of hour’s support on a rota. The individual will be responsible for developing and managing documentation and procedures to ensure records are maintained and demonstrate their added value to incident resolution. Travelling will be part of the role as there is a need to occasionally visit Customer sites for problem resolutions, system upgrades or meetings, with Customers spread around the country.
