On behalf of our client, a market leader in the highways term maintenance industry, we are recruiting a Business Analyst.
The role will include the proactive interrogation and management of data collated from various sources / systems, assisting with the annual business planning process, validation of the data used in the calculation of performance and productivity, preparation and presentation of reports and generally supporting the business with performance improvement.
There will also be opportunities to support both Internal and External audits, process mapping and promoting continual improvement.
You will be exposed to all aspects of the Essex Highways business and management and shall be actively encouraged to visit other depots and sites to maximise personal learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing of daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc performance reports and dashboards in line with business requirements / deadlines.
* Analysing, interrogating, and validating of the business performance data for calculation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and productivity.
* Identifying and assisting on the management of risk associated with the delivery of projects / services.
* Driving / closing out business improvement actions / non-conformances and initiating performance improvement plans in areas where performance issues are identified.
* Driving Internal and External Audit programme delivery.
* Supporting policy/strategy development and delivery of social value initiatives to support the client and business objectives.
* Regularly attending internal/client meetings as required, which may include recording of minutes and required actions.
* Deputising for the Performance and Quality Manager when required.
* Facilitating process improvement and process mapping.
* Supporting the business with the use of IT systems and software and extracting / analysing data using the same. Prior experience is non-essential as full training shall be provided.
* Supporting the management and updating of business policies, procedures, and processes.
About You
* Computer literate ideally with a proficient working knowledge of the main Microsoft Office / web-based applications.
* Knowledge and experience of using project planning tools / techniques.
* Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 44001 and 55001 would be beneficial.
* Background and general interest in analytical / statistical disciplines.
* Good command of the English language to enable proficient report writing with the ability to produce information in a well presented and digestible format.
* Needs to be able to work independently using own initiative.
* Good standard of mathematics, an eye for detail and confidence in questioning to determine accuracy.
* Must have an ability to build rapport with people across the business including external stakeholders.
* Must be willing and able to travel to other locations within the contract and / or business which will require a full clean driving licence.
