Teaching Assistant - Broadstairs
Rikama Education are working with a mainstream primary school in Broadstairs, who are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be working with some wonderful students, who need a little extra support in order to reach their full potential.
Students are mostly neuro-diverse, with conditions such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Conditions, and behavioral issues.
Teaching Assistants are required full-time so that they have the maximum positive impact on students. Working hours are therefore Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 (please note, this is term-time only).
This is a long-term position that has the potential to go permanent, should you be interested in this. Our schools are always open to adding the right people to the team.
The position:
* To provide 1:1 support to a pupil in KS1 who has SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Difficulties)
* Follow the pupil's IEP and manage behaviors effectively following the school's policy
* Liaise with class teacher, SENCO, and outside agencies
* The school has an excellent support team and experienced SLT as part of the extended team.
