A new opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, dedicated team and applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Renal Medicine and General Medicine. This post will be based primarily at The Carlisle Cumberland Infirmary, although we also support West Cumberland Hospital so there will be a requirement to work across both sites. The post involves out-patient and in-patient duties and a regular commitment to both in-reach into the medical admissions unit and on-call for general medicine.
Main duties of the job
Brief duties include:
* Reviewing patients on the renal wards and renal units as well as other wards in the hospital.
* Undertake ward rounds
* Performing outpatient clinics
* Training/Supervising staff
* Partaking in the on call rota as well as the medical on call rota
* Reviewing patients in the Emergency Department/Acute Medical Unit where necessary
