Controls Engineer
Location: Gloucester (International Travel)
Salary: £52,000 - £62,000
Working Hours: Fully On-Site - 9 Day Working Fortnight

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Controls Engineer to be a vital part of our team.
Role Overview:
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and support of control systems for special purpose automated machinery. Your expertise will ensure that our machinery operates efficiently and safely, adhering to international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and Motion Control programming.
Configure software and hardware for networked control systems with distributed I/O.
Program and integrate vision systems for inspection and measurement using Cognex or similar products.
Support control systems for new machine builds, prototypes, and existing equipment in the field.
Provide customer support and be willing to travel to sites as required (approximately 2-3 weeks at a time, 4-5 times per annum).
Identify opportunities for process, productivity, and quality improvements.Person Specification:
HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a Software-related discipline.
Proven experience in PLC, HMI, and motion programming, preferably using the Rockwell Logix platform, Safety PLC, Kinetix motion control, Studio 5000, and FTViewME. Experience with Siemens Control Systems & TIA portal is advantageous.
