Job Title: Manufacturing/Production Engineer
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week
* Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
* Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing/Production Engineer to join our team, working on a range of continuous improvement projects within the machine shop for the first 6-12 months. This role requires hands-on experience with lasers, press brakes, and robotic cells, as well as a keen ability to optimize processes, enhance production efficiency, and support preventive maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support continuous improvement projects within the machine shop.
* Review, develop, and document manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
* Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for key production machinery.
* Train in or be willing to train in programming laser cutting machines, press brakes, and other CNC equipment (as a backup to the primary programmer).
* Design, implement, and install jigs, benches, tools, and fixtures to improve production processes.
* Drive and support process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing/production engineering role.
* Hands-on experience with lasers, press brakes, and robotic cells.
* Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
* Ability to review, write, and improve technical processes.
* Experience in preventative maintenance planning and execution.
* Proficiency in manufacturing software or a willingness to train in relevant programming.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to production challenges.
