Job Description:
The primary responsibilities of the role include:
1. Maintenance of Boiler/Combustion Services and building services equipment in designated geographic locations.
2. Efficiently execute PPM and Reactive Works issued by the Helpdesk within the Commercial Gas contract portfolio.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Report to the line manager for all actions, requirements, and contract-related matters.
2. Ensure full compliance with client Commercial Gas ISO 9001, 14001, and OSHAS 18001 protocols and procedures.
3. Adhere to Best Practices for maintenance tasks, including planned and reactive tasks, and callouts to meet client expectations.
4. Ensure Regulatory activities are carried out in compliance with One Environmental Commercial Gas Quality System and Company QMS.
5. Maintain plant and equipment, ensuring efficient and reliable operation within specified standards.
6. Oversee service delivery, complete work orders, and adhere to SLAs and Planned/Reactive Maintenance System.
7. Perform first-line diagnostics and plan required remedial work.
8. Recognize spare parts requirements and notify the Helpdesk accordingly.
9. Undertake contractual obligations on behalf of Commercial Gas.
10. Complete and submit Planned Maintenance and Reactive Work Sheets.
11. Provide solutions to engineering problems and identify new works for continual improvement.
12. Ensure workplace/task Risk, COSHH, Manual Handling, and Personal Protective Assessments are carried out.
13. Foster a culture of accident prevention and damage control.
14. Compile and submit incident or accident reports as per Commercial Gas procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Take reasonable care for health and safety, reporting accidents or near misses.
2. Co-operate and assist in all health and safety procedures.
3. Wear personal protective equipment as required.
4. Follow safe working procedures for handling, storing, and using COSHH controlled items.
5. Report any medical problems experienced during work functions.
6. Maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
7. Ensure work equipment is used for its intended purpose and staff are trained to use it.
8. Do not interfere with safety equipment provided.
9. Provide a proactive approach to staff and customer relations.
10. Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
Qualifications:
1. CCN1 – Core domestic gas safety
2. CENWAT - Central heating boilers and instantaneous hot water heaters
3. MET1 - Domestic gas meters up to 6m³
4. CPA1 - Combustion performance analysis
5. HTR1 - Domestic open, balanced & fan flue gas fires & wall heater
6. COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety or CODNCO1 - Changeover gas safety from domestic natural gas to commercial natural gas
7. ICPN1 - Installation first fix of commercial pipework
8. CIGA1 - Commission, service, repair & breakdown of commercial indirect-fired heating appliances & equipment
9. CDGA1 - Commission, service direct fired heaters
10. HWB1 - Gas fired hot water boilers 15-40kW
11. TPCP1A - Testing & direct purging of low-pressure commercial pipework not exceeding 1m³ in volume, 21mbar operating pressure
