Location: West Midlands - Hybrid
Hours: 37.5 – Monday to Friday

About the role of Assistant Estimator:
The Assistant Estimator role is a key role within the Chevron Group, assisting the commercial and operational team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and assisting with the preparation and compilation of ‘in contract’ quotations.
Responsibilities of an Assistant Estimator:
12. Managing and building Client relationships
13. Managing client portals, inclusive of prompt responses / data upload
14. Reviewing client challenges in relation to submissions
15. Liaising with Operational Leads to understand scheme requirements
16. Reviewing Traffic Management Design
17. Compiling Target Cost backup substantiation sheet for clients
18. Undertake review and pricing compensation events
19. Attend weekly and monthly update meetings between commercial and operations
20. Updating of scheme and contract register.
What good looks like for an Assistant Estimator:
21. Excellent negotiating and interpersonal Skills
22. Experience working within a commercial setting
23. Knowledge and experience of Temporary Traffic Management
24. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software – especially excel
25. Attention to detail and ability to think laterally and problem solve
26. Ability to build new and existing relationships with Clients and suppliers
27. Full UK Driving Licence
