Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Permanent Nights) Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum We are recruiting on behalf of a leading supplier of PVC compounds for an exciting opportunity to join their growing team as a Maintenance Engineer. Shift Pattern: Permanent nights: 10 PM – 6 AM About the Role: As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy manufacturing site. Your focus will be on maintaining and improving factory equipment, resolving breakdowns, and conducting proactive maintenance to support production. You’ll work closely with the production team to ensure business needs are met efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities: Responding to machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and meet customer demand. Conducting reactive, proactive, and planned maintenance on a variety of factory equipment. Maintaining site services and facilities to ensure optimal performance. Contributing to cost-saving initiatives and improving machine conditions. Planning and managing individual and team projects to improve operational efficiency. Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, including ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001. Supporting the installation, decommissioning, testing, and recommissioning of capital equipment. Skills and Experience Required: Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering and maintenance. Level 3 electrical engineering qualification (or equivalent). Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of extrusion, mixing, and blending machines is beneficial but not essential. Familiarity with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Welding experience (MIG & Stick) is advantageous but not essential. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Benefits: Competitive salary up to £48,000 per annum.
