Position summary
We are seeking a bright, self-motivated person who has experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure to join our cloud infrastructure support team. This is an amazing opportunity to further develop your skillset in a large enterprise environment. As a senior in the support team, you will be handling escalations from Level 1 infrastructure support, and surrounding automation platforms used to power our Cloud Hosting Services. You will play a critical role as a valuable member of our collaborative team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our production environment. This is a senior infrastructure role with fantastic opportunities to further develop your technological knowledge using our extensive pool of resources.
Responsibilities
* Providing technical support for our client hosting AWS environments and internal infrastructure.
* Creating processes and runbooks to support production infrastructure operations.
* Point of escalation for Level 1 support inquiries.
* Advanced analysis of network infrastructure issues.
* An understanding of the entire DevOps lifecycle.
* Understanding how to manage and collaborate on code repositories (Such as Git).
* Ensuring monitoring and alerting toolsets are fit for purpose.
* Stakeholder management and strong communication.
* Continuous learning and improvement.
* Ability to prioritise activities by managing a constantly evolving plan measured against client requirements.

Support cloud service continuity measures including backup & restore procedures and disaster recovery plans, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
Requirements
* An SME knowledge of AWS technologies such as EC2, ELB, S3, VPC, EBS, RDS, AMIs, IAM, etc.
* Can demonstrate good IT Network infrastructure knowledge.
* Windows and/or Linux systems administration skills.
* Utilise observability tools (monitoring, analysing, and troubleshooting). Grafana desired.
* Good PowerShell and/or bash scripting experience.
* Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (namely Ansible and Terraform).
* Proficiency in operating within an infrastructure support setting.
* Ability to contribute to automation solutions including build pipelines.
* Experience of working in financial services or similar is desirable.
