The Role As the school's SENCo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all students with SEN receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and managing the school's SEN provision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines. Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN. Liaising with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting students' needs. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of SEN provision and implementing improvements as necessary. Contributing to the school's wider inclusion agenda. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will possess: A recognized teaching qualification and SENCo qualification (National Award for SEN Coordination). Significant experience working as a SENCo or in a similar role within a secondary school setting. A deep understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. A passion for promoting inclusion and supporting the needs of all students.
