Role OverviewOur Cell Leaders work on lines as part of a cell and hold a pivotal role in the operation of high-speed machinery, leading a team within their allocated cell. You will ensure that performance levels are maintained and optimised, whilst enforcing a safe, efficient and effective way of running the manufacturing equipment.
This role entails not only maintaining the highest standards of quality but also adhering to safety protocols while demonstrating your expertise in troubleshooting and making adjustments when necessary.
Essential requirements of a Cell Leader include:
Proficiency in timely machine setup, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency through collaborative teamwork.
Investigating, resolving and or escalating any issues which may arise.
Enforcing, within the cell, the adherence to safety rules and guidelines, leading by example.
Thorough pre-use checks of machinery, promptly identifying and addressing any potential issues or faults, showcasing your technical ability.
Leading a cell team to deliver the required results.
Breaking down barriers between colleagues to ensure machine operators work as one united team.
Escalating to Shift Manager any defects outside of the agreed quality tolerances.
Highlighting and identifying areas of training required by the cell to the Shift Manager.
Assisting in investigations e.g. accident investigations, performance investigations etc.
Regularly auditing documents to ensure compliance.
