Description
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven 1-3 year PQE Solicitor to join our busy Residential Development team; offering a great working environment, exposure to quality clients and opportunities for progression. This role would suit someone who enjoys and works well under pressure, is looking for excellent development in a collaborative team and exposure to quality clients. Working from our Leicester hub, collaboration is important so you will need to be able to be in the office with the team 2/3 days per week.
What you will be doing:
* Providing assistance on a broad caseload of straightforward and complex residential development transactions
* Running your own workload of small development acquisitions and disposals and ancillary documentation linked to larger development schemes
* Working with the team on our business development activities to attract new clients and develop relationships with existing clients
* Working closely with a range of clients to provide fast, pragmatic and commercial advice
* Handling queries and enquiries efficiently
* Maintaining good file management
* Liaising with clients in a professional manner
* Working to strict deadlines
What you will need:
* 1-3 years PQE working in a Real Estate team within a law firm, residential development experience is preferred
* Proven experience working in a team environment, with strong commercial acumen
* Strong IT skills
* The ability to manage files effectively
* A willingness and enthusiasm to get involved in business development activities, ideally to demonstrate a proven track record of success in this area

* A desire to specialise in Residential Development law
* To be personable with the ability to deal with a broad range of clients and build relationships with partners / key stakeholders
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* A high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environment

* Excellent communication skills
* A desire to enhance client relationships through day-to-day activity
* The ability to work in a busy team

Meet the Team:
Our Residential Development team has extensive experience in advising national and regional housebuilders, landowners, funders and land promoters. We advise our clients on all aspects of residential development, land acquisition and disposal, overage, collaboration arrangements and land promotion, assisting our clients on immediate and strategic land development sites.
