Job Description:
A career as a Software Engineer Intern allows you the opportunity to gain exposure and growth expertise on a wide palette of cutting-edge technologies while being involved in delivering business-critical projects. Our internships provide you with an opportunity to gain real world experience and make an immediate impact at HPE. You’ll get assigned meaningful projects, gain exposure to leaders, and connect with other interns. Key aspects of our internship program include learning and professional development, social and networking events, and volunteer opportunities.

What you'll do:
You will build and enhance your knowledge in software development methodologies, principles, practices, and the software development lifecycle. You will perform development activities within the team, including but not limited to:
* Developing new features
* Identifying, fixing, and documenting bugs
* Participating in peer code reviews
* Contributing to team knowledge base
* Analyzing and designing software and configuration changes
You will gain exposure and growth expertise on a wide palette of cutting-edge technologies while being involved in delivering business-critical projects. You will work closely with our QA, DevOps, Software Development engineers and architects.

What you’ll need:
* Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, software development or other IT related field (including a placement year). Interest in any of the following areas is desirable: Computer architecture, Concurrent programming/multi-threading, Embedded systems, Linux, Networks and communications, Cloud Microservice development, Operating Systems.
* You must be eligible to work in the UK and be available to commence the placement at the beginning of July 2025 for 13 months.
The technology:
* Any experience in the following languages is desirable: assembly code or any other embedded system development; C, C# or C++; Java; Python; Go.
