About The Role
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Technician to support the delivery of electrical maintenance and compliance services within our in-house electrical team, including overseeing the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) program. The role involves working collaboratively to execute maintenance works in residents' homes and communal areas across the borough.
As part of the Repairs and Maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring that GYBC properties, estates, and communal areas remain compliant with all relevant legislative and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for managing contractors and delivering scheduled works to council homes, communal spaces, and estates, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, to the Council’s quality standards, and provide value for money.
The Repairs and Maintenance team delivers essential maintenance services to the Council's housing stock, estates, and communal areas. The department works closely with colleagues across the Council, as well as partner organizations and contractors, to manage a dynamic and varied workload. With properties ranging in age, this role offers the professional challenge of integrating the latest technology and ensuring compliance with ever-evolving regulations across a diverse range of assets.
A company vehicle will be provided for business use, therefore it is essential that a successful candidate will have a valid full UK driving licence.
This position offers a hybrid working model, with a combination of office-based work, site visits, and home working as appropriate.
