Provide day-to-day procurement support to the team and wider business, ensuring smooth operations and effective resolution of any procurement-related issues. Ensure the timely supply of materials in line with production requirements and business deliverables, continually driving improvements in processes, efficiency, and supplier performance. Negotiate and agree on sourcing for materials, ensuring that suppliers are listed on the companys approved supplier list, and that pricing and terms of trade are agreed upon, communicated, and adhered to. Negotiate, place, and manage contracts for services, ensuring service providers operate in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deliver consistent performance. Drive the effective use of the business management system (QAD) to streamline and support procurement activities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. Lead initiatives to drive supply chain improvements, focusing on cost reduction, enhanced delivery performance, and quality improvements with key suppliers. Place purchase orders and manage the expediting process to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials in line with production and project needs. Oversee the management and tracking of open purchase orders, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for effective order tracking and reporting. Perform general procurement duties, including processing requisitions, converting them into detailed purchase orders, and ensuring timely and accurate issuance. CRITICAL OUTPUTS Reporting against set KPI criteria including cost reduction and supplier delivery performance Effectively operate individually and as part of a team, managing suppliers to ensure support of business priorities. EXPERIENCE Experience of working within a manufacturing/production or similar environment as a procurement officer with responsibilities for Indirect and Production requirements.
