Vacancy - Deputy Business Unit Manager Are you seeking a role in which you can ensure that all operational delivery and support requirements are achieved throughout a specific terminal? We are seeking a Deputy Business Unit Manager to join our team at Ellesmere Port and help us keep the world moving Your role In this role you will lead the strategic delivery of centralised operations support and on shift service delivery, aligning operations and engineering to ensure effective Port performance. You will support all Operational requirements as directed by the Business Unit Manager, ensuring all Health and Safety are at the forefront of all activities. You will be responsible for overseeing all site operations including, and not limited, to vessel discharge, warehouse management and customer deliveries as well staff planning and managing our internal suppliers and 3rd party supplier (labour and plant). Developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will be responsible for day to day account management of existing customers. Through effective leadership and management, you will support the team through training, coaching and mentoring, proactively leading change throughout the terminal. What you'll bring You will have previous operational management experience, ideally gained in a Marine, Logistics, Warehousing, or similar industry. You will be naturally confident with the ability to build strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience in delivering improved productivity and financial performance initiatives would be beneficial. You will have strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, engineering, quality and ISPS legislation, combined with a knowledge of ISO certifications (ISO 18001; 450001; 9001). Proven individual and team management skills, alongside leadership and change management skills would be beneficial. Who are we?
