Role Description
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the role will be responsible for managing and coordinating all inbound raw materials and packaging materials for the Bradford site - Apollo (Capri-sun) and Main factory, to ensure all products are available to meet planned production. This includes facilitating waste removal from the Capri-sun operation to the recycling & waste plant on site.
This role will be a hands-on leader, working with the site departmental teams to support the achievement of optimal operational efficiency at the lowest cost, through the delivery of targets set against the strategic objectives of the functions. The role will support the Manufacturing and warehouse teams to deliver the agreed manufacturing vision and strategy through effective and efficient stock management and handling, working closely with the Despatch Leaders with shared resources to ensure success.

Principal Responsibilities
* Responsible for organizing and maintaining all inventory in the raw materials compound and maintaining packaging inventory and storage area.
* Responsible for administrative support for their assigned area (raw materials compound), including accuracy of all paperwork produced.
* System integrity and maintenance for Raw materials in SAP ECC, MES using key Furi and Sky systems to be readily available to deliver the production plans.
* Promote Opex philosophies and strategies for material storage and handling.
* Design, implement and embed Princes’ maturity plans for their area.
* Operate a daily material FMS process.
* Ensure the arrival of all raw materials and packaging within key performance indicators to ensure availability for manufacturing.
* Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformances relating to product, process, and quality systems for their area.
* Identify and record any issues relating to product, processes, and/or quality for material movements.
* Assist Logistics Manager by identifying work procedures in a priority manner and expedite workflow.
* Monitor shift performance on a daily basis, ensuring agreed volume is achieved and costs are not exceeded.
* Ensure all deliveries are received and checked within agreed timescales.
* Escalate any issues with raw materials to the supplier, quality & planning teams.
* Produce reports and KPI information for the Logistics Manager.
* Forecasting and planning resources according to workload & volume.
* Organize and supervise daily job activities within the raw materials function.
General Responsibilities
* Understanding and implementation of lean manufacturing work practices including 5S, AM and problem-solving (including root cause analysis), to drive continuous improvement activity throughout the site.
* Have a detailed understanding of the Princes Manufacturing System (PMS) and the Site Must Win Battle Plan.
* Ensure all training for direct reports is documented using the appropriate skills matrix.
* Exercise reasonable skill and care for the health and safety of yourself and other people at work and do not interfere with or obstruct anything provided in the interests of health and safety at work.
* Demonstrate behaviours which are in line with the site values & help to improve the Quality, Safety & Environmental culture.
* Support the business in working towards delivering our ethical trading and human rights vision.
* When engaging with internal and external stakeholders (such as consumers, customers or suppliers), maximize any potential opportunities to communicate Princes’ ethical trade and human rights approach.
Role Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Relevant logistics and warehousing experience.
* Good working knowledge of SAP Warehouse management and production systems.
* Strong operational grounding within a complex fast-moving manufacturing environment.
* Good working knowledge of other operating systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* FLT licence – counter-balance & flexi.
* Maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards by ensuring all associated policies and procedures are adhered to.
