As part of the multi-disciplinary team, you will fulfil a key role in providing radiotherapy, care and support to patients.
We have supportive clinical structures which will enable you to build on your existing skills, support service users, develop your practice and enable your career to progress.
You will be part of a team whose focus is on delivering the best care for our patients whilst offering you the care and support your needs throughout your training (and beyond).
Throughout your training, you will work under the supervision and guidance of our registered radiotherapy team members. You will learn how radiotherapy forms an important role in the treatment of cancer and how to plan and deliver radiotherapy in a safe, guided way.
Attend the mandatory academic training for the Therapeutic Radiographer Apprenticeship programme at the partner university and make a commitment to study both within working hours and at home for the duration of the apprenticeship course.
You will work as part of a team responsible for providing an efficient Radiotherapy service at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
Our apprentice opportunities are for individuals who are enthusiastic, caring and compassionate and have the drive and ambition to complete a degree apprenticeship to become a registered Therapeutic Radiographer. We are keen to develop these roles and talent within Somerset.
