An existing opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our established children's respiratory nursing team in a Band 7 role.
Part time 18.75 hours per week

The post holder would join a team of specialist nurses providing respiratory care in the management of childhood respiratory conditions including asthma, bronchiectasis and primary ciliary dyskinesia across the northern region.
Our staff oversee around 6,500 patient contacts every day, delivering high standards of healthcare from the following sites:
• · Freeman Hospital
• · Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI)
• · Health Innovation Neighbourhood (on the former Newcastle General Hospital and Centre for Ageing and Vitality site)
• · Newcastle Dental Hospital
• · Newcastle Fertility Centre
• · Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbria
• · Northern Genetics Service
• · Cramlington Manor Walks
These include a range of flagship services which deliver cutting-edge care (supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic services in both radiology and pathology) and are a catalyst for innovation to support pioneering clinical practice in the NHS.

The successful applicant will have significant post registration experience, ideally including children's respiratory care. We are looking for an individual who is forward thinking with the leadership qualities and drive to lead and develop the service. You should have the ability to work autonomously, manage a large, shared caseload and be forward thinking, responsive to the needs of patients and the service and work well within a multidisciplinary team.
The post requires travel through the northern region and a current driving licence is essential.
