SALARY: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum (AFC Band 5) + Benefits
LOCATION: HMP Millsike in York, Yorkshire
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 37.5 Hours per Week
KEY REQUIREMENT: Applicants must be 18+ due to prison-based working AND must hold a valid UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle as travel between sites or locations may be necessary.

Working as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner you will join the integrated primary care mental health team at HMP Millsike.
As the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, low-intensity cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, aligning with Step 2 IAPT guidelines.

DUTIES
Some of your duties as the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner will include:
1. Conduct person-centred assessments, manage referrals, and support individuals in their self-management and recovery journeys.
2. Deliver guided self-help in both 1:1 and group settings, drawing from CBT principles.
3. Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, attending meetings, and contributing to step-up and step-down arrangements.
4. Ensure accurate data entry and maintain high standards in clinical record-keeping and confidentiality.
5. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, upholding company values.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Qualifications: Completed the IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and hold a PWP accreditation (BPS or BABCP).
2. Experience: Demonstrated experience providing low-intensity, evidence-based interventions in a stepped-care environment.
3. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases.
4. Experience in a prison setting or with offender populations is beneficial, though not essential.
5. Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
