Job Description
OCI is experiencing rapid growth, and our large customers rely on us for timely capacity delivery in a fiscally responsible manner. We are seeking an experienced Director of Technical Programs to lead a team of 2-3 members, focusing on complex, high-impact technical initiatives with a financial emphasis. This role will be crucial in overseeing data center buildout processes, implementing governance and financial compliance measures, and managing multibillion-dollar revenue programs.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills as well as an understanding of how data centers delivery works. A technical program management background is a must have. In addition, the role requires the ability to parse through and audit Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders for accuracy and ensure the spend complies with approved guidelines and policies. We are also looking for an individual with the ability to identify risks and issues to drive financial operational governance specifically related to budgets, including budget and cost management and budget tracking. The successful candidate will be reporting critical issues directly to the EVP and therefore strong communication skills (written and verbal) are a must have.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Program Leadership
o Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive project plans, defining scope, requirements, and resource allocation for intricate, multi-faceted projects.
o Establish and manage critical project deliverables, articulating project vision and ensuring optimal resource alignment.
o Proactively navigate scope changes, assess impacts, and implement robust contingency strategies.
o Orchestrate priorities across diverse departments, fostering collaboration with cross-functional partners.
o Drive end-to-end execution of complex projects, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
2. Financial Oversight and Compliance
o Conduct meticulous audits of Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational policies.
o Identify and mitigate financial risks, reinforcing operational governance.
o Manage budgets with precision, overseeing costs and maintaining detailed tracking mechanisms.
o Collaborate with issue owners to ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
3. Process Optimization and Quality Assurance
o Identify opportunities for process enhancement, spearheading initiatives to streamline software development workflows.
o Guide teams in adhering to established processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
o Assess operational structures, providing strategic recommendations to business units for optimizing internal control frameworks.
o Collaborate closely with internal and external domain experts to leverage best practices and industry insights.

* 10+ years of experience in a technical program management role.
* A natural problem-solver and strategic thinker who takes ownership.

* Comfortable driving teams to deliver results, speaking up, and challenging the status quo when needed.
* Advanced knowledge of auditing processes/procedures.
* Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives.
* Competent interpersonal skills, with ability to lead projects and mentor others.
* Ability to evaluate business processes and IT technology, identify risks and evaluate controls.
* Advanced investigative and analytical skills.
* Ability to translate business needs and problems to viable and accepted solutions.
* Ability to collaborate with process owners across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
* Effectively coordinate with team members in different time zones.
* Advanced degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or equivalent education preferred.
