Payroll Officer and HR Administrator - Signature Aviation
Full time, Temporary (Maternity Cover, estimated 12-14 months)
Location: Hybrid with minimum of 2 days in Luton Head Office
Salary range between £30,000 - £40,000
An opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Officer to join our People Services team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. We estimate this role will last around 12 months and will commence from mid-June, to allow for a thorough handover.

The position will report directly to the EMEA HR Director and will handle all payroll processes and query resolution for multiple locations across the UK and Ireland, along with some HR, Recruitment and Benefits administration duties.

Your new role:
You will be responsible for preparing, calculating, processing and validating monthly payrolls from start to finish, including completing year-end requirements, for multiple UK business units and 2 locations in Ireland (around 400 team members), ensuring all legislative compliance is maintained.
You will also be responsible for the administration of new starters/changes/leavers via multiple HR Systems along with processing all statutory payments, company sickness, bonus payments, overtime and more. You will be involved in processing all pension administration tasks including new joiners and contributions files.
You will provide a comprehensive service, offering clear and accurate advice and guidance to managers, employee's and third parties in respect to any queries received.
Alongside the payroll duties and responsibilities, you will be carrying out HR, recruitment and benefits administration, such as drafting and issuing new starter contracts/paperwork, supporting management with recruitment administration and working with benefits providers on annual renewals and changes.
About you:
* You will have substantial experience of managing payroll in a fast-moving customer focused environment and ideally you will be qualified to Certificate in Payroll Practise level.
* You will have experience of company audits both internal and external, managing key internal and external suppliers and have experience of working with time and attendance software
* You will ideally have previous experience using ADP iHCM and UKG.
* You will ideally have previous project experience with transitioning to a different payroll provider.
* You will be highly accurate and have a keen attention to detail, and you will be comfortable working to demanding targets and meeting tight deadlines.
* You will be proficient in dealing with issues related to pay, tax, terms and conditions and provide exceptional customer service to your internal customers.
* You will be comfortable with using all of the usual MS Office applications.
