Job Description
The Production Exchange is looking for an experienced and dynamic Agent to manage and develop our growing roster of actors and creatives (including directors, writers, and designers). This role will be pivotal in building opportunities for talent, negotiating contracts, and fostering key relationships within theatre, film, television, and other entertainment industries.
You will work alongside a small, dedicated team and play an active role in shaping the future of our agency, ensuring that both the performers' and creatives' divisions are supported on equal terms.
The Production Exchange is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting emerging talent in theatre, dance, and the entertainment industry. Job Requirements
Must have experience as an agent, assistant agent, or talent manager, with strong industry contacts in theatre, film, and TV. Excellent negotiation skills, communication, and networking abilities are essential.
A deep understanding of career development in the arts is required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Desirable skills include experience working with both actors and creatives, familiarity with casting databases (Spotlight, Tagmin, IMDb), and a background in talent management, production, or casting.
Job Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with actors and creatives, providing career guidance and mentorship. Scout and recruit new talent while supporting clients with script development. Develop industry connections with casting directors, producers, and broadcasters to secure opportunities.
Negotiate contracts and fees, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with industry standards. Promote client work across press, social media, and professional networks. Represent clients in media interactions and assist in building their industry profiles.
Collaborate with The Production Exchange team to enhance the agency’s reputation and contribute to business development. Participate in weekly team meetings, aligning client strategies with industry trends. Maintain a proactive approach in securing work, developing talent, and fostering key relationships.
