Do you want to work with young adults to help them reach their full potential? Reach is our incredible sixth form based in Christchurch which opened it's doors in March 2024. The provision offers a unique and tailored approach to further education for students aged between 16 - 18 years old. We support our students, with everyday activities to help them prepare for adulthood such as:
* Providing guidance to get to and from Reach alone on public transport
* Encouraging our students to try new foods in the kitchen by cooking nutritional meals
* You may find some of our learners creating music in their very own music room or recording in our soundproof booth
* Working on their confidence by being involved in a theatrical production
* Training with our gym and fitness enthusiasts using state of the art equipment
* Supporting with work placements across the local area such as Aeroflex Engineering, Highcliffe Castle and the Minestead Trust to name a few.
Working within Portfield School is unbelievably rewarding and we guarantee that no two days will be the same, this does come with some challenges, which may be both physically and emotionally demanding at times. You will not be alone! On-going support will always be available from your team members, training department, line manager, Mental Health First Aiders or our employee assistance programme. Monday - 08:30am - 4pm Tuesday - 08:30am - 4:30pm Wednesday - 08:30am - 4pm Thursday - 08:30am - 4pm Friday - 08:30am - 3:30pm To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, we are looking for someone who:
