Landmarc is currently looking for a student seeking a sandwich year placement as part of their degree. This role covers harvesting, planting, site management, and the full process from site assessments to health & safety and supervision. The successful placement holder will have opportunities to focus on supporting one of the regional rural teams in the delivery of their forestry harvesting and reinvestment programme, the delivery of ash dieback works, the delivery of SSSI and conservation programmes, as well as the surveying and delivery of other rural works.
This role offers valuable learning experiences, including department rotations for a well-rounded understanding of the business.

The Ideal Candidate
* Currently studying or recently graduated in forestry or a rural-related field
* Practical, hands-on, and eager to work in rural teams
* Willing to research and take on varied tasks
* Confident in surveying, supervision, site meetings, and health & safety reviews
* Strong IT and report-writing skills
* Access to own transport due to the rural location of the site
Candidates must have lived in the UK for at least five years and pass the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, including a Basic Police Disclosure. Unspent convictions are considered on a case-by-case basis and may not prevent employment.
