As Pet Caretaker at Mars, you will work in a team environment to provide daily care and management for the pets in our Pet Center.
What are we looking for?
Proven working experience or volunteering experience interacting with dogs and cats Animal care / management BTEC or higher qualification desirable Knowledge of animal health and management issues is preferred Experience with basic grooming and training is preferred We want someone who will be willing to work in all weather conditions
What will be your key responsibilities?
Performing animal behavior and obedience training following the Mars Standards, including implementing behavior modification plans, training for research activities, and support for rehoming Implementing environmental enrichment, exercise, socialization and grooming programs in accordance with standard operating procedures Evaluating pet health (both mental and physical) for any veterinary and/or enrichment needs Assisting the Health Care Team in treatment and research collections as needed
