IT Infrastructure Lead - Oxford Uni Spinoff Company Vision: Pioneering Scientific Tech startup who are a spin-off from Oxford University are looking for a hands-on IT Manager who can plan and build all the processes, roadmap and technical infrastructure for a rapidly growing scale-up business. Currently 30 employees, with ambitious growth plans to double team size in two years. Role Overview: I’m looking for an exceptional, hands-on IT Infrastructure Leader to architect and execute their technology infrastructure strategy. This is a transformative opportunity to build IT capabilities from the ground up, serving a cutting-edge technological environment. Strategic Responsibilities: Design and implement comprehensive IT infrastructure roadmap Establish robust cybersecurity frameworks and resilient system architectures Manage identity and access management across evolving technological ecosystem Develop scalable IT policies and procedures Plan and execute resource allocation for future IT team expansion Manage technical and non-technical stakeholders Technical Requirements: At least 7 years enterprise IT environment management Advanced networking and cybersecurity expertise Deep Windows and Microsoft 365 Active Directory proficiency Proven track record scaling IT infrastructure in high-growth startup environments Professional certifications in Windows client infrastructure and RedHat Linux Advanced Capabilities: Linux administration (particularly Debian-based distributions) Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Engineering SaaS systems integration Information security compliance frameworks (ISO27001 preferred) Professional Profile: Exceptional communication skills across technical and executive audiences Strategic vision coupled with hands-on technical implementation capabilities Adaptable communication approach for diverse stakeholder engagement Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving orientation Work Arrangement: Hybrid model: 2 days weekly in central Oxford office Permanent position Compensation Package: Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 benefits stock options
