Job Title: Course Lead in Digital and Media
Department: Digital and Media
Salary: £37,194-£39,718 DOE
Are you a qualified Lecturer in Digital or Media looking to join a vibrant, forward-looking College? We seek to appoint a dedicated and experienced Course Leader to take responsibility for the delivery and development of our Digital and Media programs.
As a Course Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment within the Creative Industries section. Your main objective will be to ensure successful learner outcomes and maximise the potential of every student to progress to their chosen destination.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach and lead students enrolled in L2 and L3 media production courses, including the final media project which encompasses skills such as photography, film production, and advert creation.
- Implement feedback and assessment systems to accurately check learning and adapt teaching to ensure learner progress.
- Manage courses, including administration and organisation, within the designated curriculum area.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation.
- Maintain a professional learning environment in the classroom and implement the College’s behaviour management processes as required.
- Provide accurate, timely, and up-to-date reports on the performance of the curriculum.
Essential Criteria
* Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification
* Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification
* Possess a qualification in Maths and English levels 4 – 9(GCSE Grades A – C) or equivalent
* Possess sufficient breadth and/or depth of specialist knowledge to lead the curriculum provision and teach on programmes in the area.
* Track record of successful teaching experience across a range of levels including up to level 3
* Recent industry related experience relevant to the academic discipline
* Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements
* Understanding of value added and the use of progress performance measures
* Experience of developing and maintaining external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning.
* Ability to motivate, support and lead the work of a curriculum team co-ordinating effort to meet Key Performance Indicators
