We are excited to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic nursing leader to take on the role of Cross-Site Head of Nursing for Specialist Medicine on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As Head of Nursing, you will provide strategic leadership and professional oversight across specialist medicine services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are upheld. Working collaboratively across professional boundaries, you will engage with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, advocating for patients and staff alike. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving quality improvement, supporting clinical governance frameworks, and aligning services with national and local objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate and strategic nursing leadership across the Directorate, ensuring excellence in patient care.
Work collaboratively with the Chief of Service and Associate Director as part of the Directorate Management Team to shape service development and transformation.
Lead and support the nursing and AHP workforce, ensuring professional development, engagement, and well-being.
Oversee clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, embedding best practices in patient safety and experience.
Ensure the effective management of resources and teams within budget constraints.
Act as a visible role model, fostering a culture of continuous learning, inclusivity, and collaboration.
Provide professional advice across the Directorate and contribute to Trust-wide initiatives as part of the Chief Nurse’s Senior Nursing Team.
