Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the clinical administrative and data management duties relating to the Critical Care and Outreach department including the Intensive Care National Audit & Research (ICNARC) database. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating data collection and validation to facilitate in benchmarking services and take an active role in attending meetings and working with the Clinical, Audit and ICNARC leads to ensure that data is up to date and accurate as well as Medicus to upload patient data.
Main duties of the job
1. Prioritise and manage workload without direct supervision.
2. Be proficient in using the Hospital Information System and all other IT systems as required.
3. Take a lead on all paperwork and preparation for ICNARC submissions, ensuring patient's paper notes are tracked and stored correctly in compliance with the information governance policies.
4. Be responsible for data entry for ICNARC ensuring accurate and timely completion of information required from both paper and electronic patient records onto ward.
5. Provide an administrative service for the clinical lead, matron, service manager, senior nursing staff and ICU.
6. Attend and take minutes for departmental meetings, service line and clinical governance meetings as required by management.
