Positions Available: Full-Time Caretaker: 40 hours per week Part-Time Caretaker: 20 hours per week Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 22:00 Saturday: 09:00 - 14:00 Duties: Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of school facilities. Handle minor repairs and report major issues to management. Cleaning and Tidiness: Ensure classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas are clean and well-maintained. Manage waste disposal and recycling. Security: Monitor the premises for safety and security. Lock and unlock school buildings as required. Grounds Maintenance: Maintain outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, and playgrounds. Ensure pathways and outdoor equipment are safe for use. Support for Events: Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for school events and activities. Provide support during school functions. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are safe to use. Communication: Liaise with school staff regarding maintenance needs and any issues that arise. Maintain records of maintenance activities and reports. Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies such as leaks, power outages, or other urgent situations. For the School Caretaker position, the requirements include: Related Experience: Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, ideally within a school or educational environment. Familiarity with minor general maintenance tasks. DBS Check: A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is preferred but not essential.
