In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of resolving Employee Relations cases swiftly and effectively. You'll guide and support our line managers, build strong partnerships, and turn data into strategic insights that drive our success. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating organisational changes, including restructures, re-organisations, and redundancies. You'll play a key role in both collective and individual consultations, ensuring the smooth delivery of our people plan to support transformation.
But that's not all! You'll also identify training needs and deliver impactful workshops for line managers, shaping an exceptional employee experience and contributing to our strategic growth.
This role is based from our Stockton office, with the ideal candidate being office based a minimum of 3 days per week.
What you will be doing:
1. Partner with assigned business areas to support volume ER case management, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
2. Advise and coach HR and line managers on managing ER situations effectively, using HR policies to handle matters appropriately and in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
3. Coach managers and HR on managing change, balancing legislative knowledge and commercial considerations.
4. Ensure availability and maintenance of people change packs and consultation materials, and timely, positive communication including FAQs.
5. Establish and maintain internal/external customer relationships to provide high-level service and accurate reporting.
6. Identify training needs and deliver workshops on HR policies and processes to improve ER skills and knowledge across the business.
What you’ll bring:
1. Strong ER experience in a large, complex organisation, handling diverse case types.
2. Proven ability to lead business change and restructure programmes.
3. In-depth understanding and application of relevant laws, regulations, and employment law.
4. Expertise in designing and delivering ER training to people managers.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship-building and influencing abilities.
6. High attention to detail, numerical literacy, and relevant HR qualification (minimum level 5 CIPD or equivalent).
It would be great if you had:
1. Experience of working within a Technology/consultancy multi-site.
2. Experience in a HR Shared Service model.
