T he Business Development Manager role is to proactively promote and sell the core I.T and Infrastructure services portfolio of Onnec to clients in our chosen market sectors. This primarily includes the utilisation of new business generation and closing techniques, with a focus on relationship management, through a consultative selling approach.
Onnec provides I.T and Infrastructure service solution to many of the World’s leading financial and technology companies, delivering in office and data centre environments. This key role will be responsible in targeting end-users within these sectors, both locally and globally, promoting Onnecs brand, portfolio of solutions and services to secure new clients
The position will have access to in-house marketing collateral / activities and the back-up of technical subject matter experts within Onnec. The ultimate aim of the New Business Manager position is to ensure that their clients are purchasing a full range of infrastructure services offered by Onnec.
What you’ll be doing as our Business Development Manager:
3. Uncover new business opportunities in a pro-active and innovative manner.
4. To achieve the annual set targets as agreed with the Sales Director.
5. To ensure all the clients within your responsibility are kept up to date with the products and services being offered by Onnec.
6. To build personal and company relationships with all the clients within their responsibility.
7. Own and communicate Account Development for our key / target’s clients.
8. To ensure that all pricing, proposals and tender documentation is returned in a professional and timely manner as requested by the clients is within your responsibility.
9. To feedback client information to Onnec.
10. To monitor that the service levels being provided by Onnec are in accordance with client expectations and to escalate accordingly.
11. Identify and develop a strong Web of Influence of all relevant stakeholders.
12. To maintain relationships with external suppliers, on pre-sales commercial issues.
13. Own the end-to-end sales process through the lifecycle of sales project i.e. Request for Proposal (RFP).
What we’re looking for in our Business Development Manager:
14. Sales opening and closing techniques.
15. Experience selling, I.T & Infrastructure and/or data centre solutions to end-users.
16. Understanding of the IT industry and its various elements
17. Strong business and commercial acumen
18. RFP process (Sales Processes)
19. Familiarity in utilsiing Sales Database - CRM.
20. Results-oriented
21. Self motivated and able to work in a team.
22. Computer literate - Use of Microsoft products, Word and Excel
23. Excellent inter-personal skills
24. Work well under pressure.
