JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Sales Manager – Paper Division (United kingdom) will be responsible for leading and managing sales operations across assigned regions within UK. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, expanding market reach, managing key customer relationships, and driving revenue growth for the Paper Division. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the paper industry, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to manage a high-performance sales team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALES STRATEGY & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:-
* Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
* Identify and explore new business opportunities in the paper industry, including prime paper, stocklot/joblot, and waste paper categories.
* Expand customer base by prospecting new clients and strengthening relationships with existing customers.- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay ahead in the market.
2. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, converters, printers, wholesalers, and distributors.
* Address customer inquiries, concerns, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide customized solutions.
3. SALES OPERATIONS & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:
* Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
* Monitor regional sales performance and provide reports to senior management.
* Conduct regular sales reviews and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
* Manage pricing strategies, negotiation processes, and payment collections efficiently.
4. TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT:
* Lead, mentor, and train the regional sales team to enhance productivity and performance.
* Conduct regular team meetings and provide guidance on sales techniques, market strategies, and customer engagement.
* Recruit, onboard, and develop new sales professionals as needed.
5. COORDINATION WITH INTERNAL DEPARTMENTS:
* Work closely with the procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.
* Coordinate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and branding activities for the Paper Division.
* Ensure seamless communication between different stakeholders for efficient sales operations.
6. COMPLIANCE & REPORTING:
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sales practices.
* Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
* 5-10 years of experience in sales, preferably in the paper industry (Printing & Writing, Packaging, or Specialty Grades).
* Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic sales plans.
* Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance management.
* Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales analytics software.
* Willingness to travel extensively within assigned regions.
