We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Water Service Delivery are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
To support the Environment and Compliance team on regulatory compliance matters relating to Clean Water Production assets. Work collaboratively with the Water Production Operational Team and the Water Asset Planning Team on specific regulatory compliance issues, to drive direction, improvements and ensure that any adverse risks and impacts are managed effectively and mitigated.
To support liaison with the Environment Agency (EA) on site specific regulatory compliance issues and support the Operational Environmental Strategy Manager in influencing national guidance and policies.
Where you fit in:
As our Regulatory Compliance Analyst you will
* As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) support the Compliance Lead for clean water discharge and sludge obligations to strive towards 100% compliance.
* Manage and maintain all Yorkshire Water’s clean water discharge and sludge data, to meet our regulatory compliance commitments.
* Ensure that the regulatory data is correct, up to date and work closely with the operational teams to ensure that any anomalies are investigated, and the reasons fully documented.
* Assist the Operational Environmental Strategy Manager to make compliance matters visible to Senior Management.
* Provide technical support in the management of compliance fails and ‘near misses’, to assist the business in driving improvements to the EPA aspects relevant to Water Production, particularly the permit compliance metric.
* Liaise with EA’s Local Enforcement Officers on any licence breaches and assist with any subsequent investigations and/or enforcement action.
* Work with ICA management to improve clean water regulatory flow meter compliance.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Detailed knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance issues and associated regulation.
* Experience of Health and Safety management processes and systems.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Ability to interpret large amounts of data from varied sources.
* Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships.
* Clearly demonstrates the Yorkshire Water company values and behaviours.
* Advanced user skills in YW IT systems e.g., Excel, SAP, AI2, EPM.
* Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships.
* Full driving licence.

* Knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and processes.
* An understanding of water treatment and metering.
* Some experience of working with regulators.
* Previous experience in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment.
* Detailed knowledge of corporate systems.
* Understanding of Management Systems.

Recruitment Process
If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment.
