What does this Care Assistant job involve?
Hours of Work:37.5 Hours Per Week - Shifts: Between 07:00 - 22:00 + Some Weekend Work - Flexible Provider
• Build trusting and supportive relationships with the people you support by providing guidance, supervision, companionship, and emotional support
• Assist the people you support in setting achievable personal and social goals
• Advocate for the needs and rights of services users, including liaising with external agencies and community organisations
• Provide personalised care to clients, respecting their dignity, independence, and individual preferences
• Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting and with mobility, ensuring their safety and comfort
• Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records
• Administrative tasks include recording information on the visits
Am I the right person for this Care Assistant job?
• Previous experience as a Domiciliary Care Worker is advantageous but not essential
• Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude are essential qualities we seek in our candidates. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, their families, and the care team
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices in a care setting
• Flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to work weekends and holidays if required
• A valid UK driver's license (preferred but not mandatory)
