Our global team of seeks a dynamic and ambitious editor with a background in energy research or related fields. About the role As a Senior Scientific Editor you will be involved in all editorial functions of the journal. You will be responsible for recruiting manuscripts, managing peer review, and contributing to strategic development within energy research and related disciplines. Working with colleagues within the journal team and the wider Cell Press community, you will deliver world-class service to our authors and advance science by shaping a rapidly growing open access journal. Responsibilities - Rapid and rigorous management of the peer review and publication process of a growing open access journal; - Working with our team of scientific editors to recruit exciting content across energy research and related fields; - Contributing to and implementing to journal strategy; - Building effective working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press; - Traveling internationally to engage with researchers across the communities we serve. Requirements - Hold a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, such as energy storage materials, photovoltaics, electrocatalysis, or other areas of energy research; - Broad scientific interests, and the flexibility and enthusiasm to learn about new areas of research; - Great teamworking skills and the desire to collaborate with colleagues across Cell Press; - Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an aptitude to develop exceptional links with, and influence, global researchers; - Previous experience in scientific publishing is an advantage; - Please submit a cover letter and resume/CV with your application.
