Job Description: Fire & Security Systems Technician
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Fire & Security Systems Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the
installation, maintenance, and commissioning of essential safety systems across the
UK and Europe. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Installation:
o Fire Alarm / Addressable Fire Suppression Systems.
o Electronic Security Systems, including Intruder Alarms, Access Control,
and CCTV.
• Maintenance & Emergency Call-Outs:
o Fire Alarm / Fire Suppression Systems (Inert, Chemical, & Water-Based
Systems).
o Electronic Security Systems (Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV).
• Commissioning Support:
o Fire Alarm / Addressable / Conventional Fire Suppression Systems.
• Documentation:
o Complete all relevant certification and documentation in line with
company and regulatory requirements.
• Project Scope:
o Work across specialist market sectors, spanning the UK and Europe.
Remuneration Package – OTE £60,000 +
• Work Outside UK/British Isles:
o 1.25x site hours for international work, with travel paid at the standard
rate.
• Travel & Overtime:
o Service, breakdown, and field small works paid door-to-door.
o Overtime rates:
1x: 8–10 hours Monday–Friday.
1.25x: After 10 hours Mon–Fri and Saturdays.
1.5x: Sundays.
o Overtime is paid at the end of the following month.
