We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Digital Training Officer to join our team. You will join us on a full time, fixed term basis until March 2026 in return for a competitive salary of £31,304.66 per annum working 35 hours per week.
Black Country Housing Group have Lottery funding to deliver a Digital Dynasty project which enables and connects Digital Learning Hubs across the Black Country to help to ensure that local communities have access to the digital services they need.
This post will concentrate on enabling the staff and volunteers in community organisations to be upskilled in the development of their service offer to their communities. The postholder will offer training, advice and guidance to local community organisations to enable them to develop their digital service for their communities.
The Successful candidate will be required to understand the principles of adult learning and development. You will also be expected to deliver training to our customers. You will be required to manage your own workload and build productive relationships with stakeholders.
As the Community Digital Training Officer, you will be expected to (but not limited to):
1. Design, plan and deliver a variety of both accredited and unaccredited training courses as directed by the Social Business Manager.
2. Develop and deliver community training and support to organisations in a range of areas which they need support in.
3. Establish a quality trusting relationship with individual organisations and groups of learners.
4. Help organisations support clients to move towards employment or training or other positive aspirations through use of various learning and assessment tools and guidance.
5. Develop, support and train volunteers and members of staff in the voluntary sector to work with their own clients.
To succeed as the Community Digital Training Officer, you will:
1. Have an understanding of theory and principles of adult learning and development.
2. Possess good knowledge and understanding of IT, software packages, and the internet.
3. Have experience of delivering accredited or non-accredited training/mentoring in a variety of settings.
4. Hold qualification/s in one of the following: Adult Learning, Internal Verifier, Assessors award, Information, Advice & Guidance at level 3 or above.

The post holder will be subject to a standard DBS check and a six month probation period.
