The Queen's Club have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Club Shop Advisor to join our team in our Club Shop specialising in racket sport clothing and equipment. About You: You will have a focus on customer service and have a strong attention to detail, a passion for retail, assisting the supervisor and manager in making their vision become a reality. Our team is responsible for providing a highly enjoyable experience for our members, their Guests and other visitors. Main Responsibilities: Provide a professional and knowledgeable service within the Shop ensuring standards are consistently delivered. Pro-actively offer advice to Shop customers on rackets, clothing, shoes and accessories. Follow the Shop opening and closing procedures at all times. Ensure the Shop is presented at its best, continuously tidying stock and cleaning where required, making sure all items are well displayed. Accept rackets for re-stringing accurately completing details required. Check in deliveries and move to store, ensuring delivery and requisitioning procedures are followed at all times. Accurately enter barcodes for all products onto the system. Price up new deliveries for display. Assist with window displays and dressing of mannequins as required by the Club Shop Manager/Supervisor. Assist with the ordering process, helping prepare spreadsheets as required by the Club Shop Manager/Supervisor. Assist with the analysis of Shop sales and stock via the computer system as required by the Club Shop Manager/Supervisor. Follow the correct EPOS system procedures at all times and ensure all financial standards are followed when: Handling credit and Member card transactions, immediately reporting any errors made Closing up and recording daily takings Reporting all discrepancies immediately to the Club Shop Manager/ Deliver the Shop service required at the summer tournament and any other tournament/Club event as directed by the Club Shop Manager. Be constantly vigilant and ensure Shop security procedures are followed at all times to prevent theft or loss of stock and Shop equipment. Identify and promptly resolve Member or guest complaints as received; advising the Club Shop Manager/ Manager on duty of all issues raised and action taken. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Club Rules and Bye Laws and assist in their enforcement reminding Members where necessary. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Club events and actively promote Member activities. Safeguarding and Child Protection and Health and Safety Follow the Queen’s Club safeguarding policy and procedures at all times; be vigilant on all matters of child and adults at risk protection. Work within the statutory health and safety requirements generally. Reporting any issues of maintenance and health and safety within the Shop area or as seen across the Club to the Club Shop Manager /Manager on duty/Maintenance Manager to ensure required safety standards are met. Work safely at all times adhering to Manual Handling Regulations. General Requirements: Make suggestions and recommend any improvements to the Club Shop Manager/Supervisor. Undertake projects and complete objectives as required by the Club Shop Manager/Supervisor. Assist your colleagues at all times and across the Club where possible and when asked by the Shop Manager/Supervisor. Help control costs wherever possible. Attend internal meetings as required. Conduct all aspects of your work and behaviour in line with the values of The Queen’s Club. Tennis knowledge of players and brands. Customer service experience within a retail environment. Working the HSBC tournament with availability up to two weeks prior or after the tournament. Team player with experience working alone and with a team. Proficient on Microsoft Office suite products with demonstrable computer literacy.
