Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a Trade Counter Assistant to join our Glenrothes based client, on a temporary to permanent basis.
What's on offer?
* Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00
* £11.44 per hour - paid weekly
* Temporary to permanent contract
Working as a Trade Counter Assistant, your role will be centered around serving customers, providing exellent customer service; meanwhile, maintaining inventory and stock. Your key tasks will include:
* Serving customers over the trade counter
* Ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary
* Negotiating prices with customers/suppliers
* Handling of any customer issues and queries
* Merchandising shop floor & counter displays
* Maintaining a clean, clutter-free showroom
* Receiving, checking and putting away goods-in supplier deliveries
* Preparing customer orders for deliveries/collections
* Accepting and handling customer payments
* Stock taking
* Using company software
To be successful, you will be a customer focused, confident and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills. Other key skills, traits and experience include:
* Experience in working in trade counter/showroom
* Confidence in speaking to Customers and Suppliers face to face or by telephone
* Literacy and numeracy
* Computer literacy
* Friendly can-do attitude
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work in fast paced environment
