In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to contribute to engineering, program, project and business line management and performance.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. To contribute to project management and performance by supporting the Project Chief Engineers (PCE's) and Engineering Project Leads (EPL's) to help achieve their cost, delivery & quality objectives.
2. To communicate key data / Information (e.g. KPI's, dashboards, reports, action plans, guidance documentation, presentations) to support the engineering and wider business communities.
3. To accurately analyse and interpret data to support improvement activities and aid effective decision making.
4. To contribute to simplifying / standardising existing practices, proposing more effective ways of working and implementing innovative solutions where appropriate.
5. To support the implementation of management standards & documents across engineering projects, ensuring a consistent approach.
6. To support the management and maintenance of resource and capacity planning for the Engineering Department, integrating inputs from multiple functions as well as the wider business and group.
7. To support and coach engineering teams on management tools & processes and Safran reference systems, addressing / reporting any irregularities.
8. To lead improvement activities, develop action plans and facilitate meetings/group discussions.
9. To provide support to One Safran processes and events and conduct benchmarking activities against group standards.
10. To make recommendations to ensure continuous process improvement and the deployment of best practices, creating a culture of learning and good practice.
Qualifications:
* Project management experience/qualification (awareness of planning/scheduling, technical & financial aspects, risks).
* Managing risks and opportunities for project and PMO.
* Knowledge of legal risks (intellectual property, standards, airworthiness rules, contracts, etc.).
* Controlling processes, reference systems and tools.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially EXCEL.
* Experience of data management, analysis and the preparation of reports & presentations.
* Knowledge of problem solving techniques and continuous improvement methods.
* Managing deadlines and resources.
